While maltodextrin has a high glycemic index, meaning that it can raise blood sugar quickly, the amount in Creatine + Alpha GPC is less than 1 g, so it would not be expected to have a significant impact on blood sugar. We understand that maltodextrin is an ingredient that some individuals may want to avoid, and we encourage you to speak with your health-care provider if you have any concerns. We do offer an unflavored/unsweetened Creatine formula for those who would like the benefits of creatine alone, without maltodextrin.

We do not recommend using a loading phase with Creatine + Alpha GPC. While some creatine protocols historically included a loading phase, there is limited safety data for combining ingredients like alpha-GPC. For this reason, we advise following the suggested use on the product label for a consistent, daily intake.
